Chip and Chop

After twelve hours of travel, I arrived only to be told by the host that the private-bathroom room I'd booked for two wasn't available. I was expected to accept a shared bathroom instead, with the host asking, “For one night, what's the problem?” During Covid, they gave us no warning and presented it as a done deal. I left, so I can't comment on the location.

Our large double room was on the ground floor, and the bathroom, though out in the hallway, was very clean and practical. The house sits in the mountains above town, in a fairly quiet spot. They provided a small breakfast and good coffee. The lady who welcomed us was so warm and friendly, and her English was excellent. Thank you very much.

At 7:30 in the morning she was practically pushing me out, without even offering coffee. The bathroom was dirty, with hair in it, and the lady had been very rude. She asked for 40 euros straight away and gave no receipt. For this price, I'd rather stay at a hotel. I don't recommend it.

To everyone at Chip and Dale, that lovely brick 🏡 has been sold and is no longer operating. The bed and breakfast is gone. I'm giving it one star just so this notice can be posted.
