The sea is right around the corner, with free stretches of beach, some with facilities, as well as lidos with plenty of amenities. We stayed at Casa Bluet from August 18 to August 25, and the house made for a lovely base in Lido Marini, a peaceful seaside town close to livelier spots. Gallipoli is about a 30-minute drive and Torre San Giovanni about 10 minutes away. There are three bedrooms, plus a sofa bed in the kitchen. Two air conditioners, one in the kitchen and one in the hallway, kept things cool at night even in the hottest weather. Both bathrooms had everything we needed, and the little back garden has an outdoor shower that's handy after the beach. Pasquale was kind and helpful the whole time. When the town had electricity problems, he even brought us a flashlight so we wouldn't be left in the dark. We had a wonderful holiday and would happily come back to Casa Bluet.

I’ve been coming to Lido Marini for years, and Puglia feels like home to me. This time, Pasquale’s warm welcome made the apartment feel like home too. It’s just a few steps from the sea, very clean, and has all the comforts you could want. That was the most relaxing week I can remember. Go, you won’t regret it.
