Il Cigno

The main problem was the owner’s family party on Ascension Day (16 August), which we hadn’t been told about beforehand. At least 80 family members took over the whole guesthouse for the day. Loud music went on until after midnight, the pool was so crowded there was no room for guests, and the family took all the sunbeds, leaving paying guests to lie on the grass. They ate, drank alcohol, and had a BBQ right in front of us without offering us anything, then left rubbish around the pool. At one point, guests were laughed at and bullied away. The owner was nowhere to be seen and was hiding on her private property. In the days before, family members kept coming and going, using the pool and taking sunbeds without shame. We’ve never experienced anything like it. It was incredibly antisocial and disrespectful to paying guests. The apartment itself was fine, but the air conditioning leaked badly. We only got regular towels on the penultimate day, so until then we had to use towels meant for the floor in front of the shower.

Mariangela was a wonderful host and even checked us in at midnight with a smile. Our apartment, Rosa, was spotless and well furnished. The garden has several tables and places to sit and enjoy a drink or a meal. The modern swimming pool is large, and there were always loungers available, even with all 6 apartments occupied. A really lovely place to stay, and a perfect stay for us!

The hosts made us feel very comfortable, and we all had a great time, especially the children, who loved the large outdoor pool. It’s a beautiful spot in a green oasis, close to a very nice village, and a lovely place to relax.

Our family, including two young children, had a great stay at Il Cigno. The accommodation, hosts, garden, and pool area were all excellent. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a place near Gardaland, Verona, Lake Garda, or Sigurta.
