A hotel for dogs.

The hiking options start right outside the door, from easy short walks to longer routes, and the mountain lift is close enough to reach on foot. Those outings made our stay even more relaxing. Our dog also had a great time meeting other dogs and running around in the fenced parks. We spent 14 days at the Sonja Dog Hotel in the Ahrntal Valley and loved it. The whole team was incredibly friendly, and both we and our dog felt welcome straight away. Everything was impressively clean and well looked after, from the rooms and restaurant to the outdoor areas. The food was another highlight, fresh, creative, and delicious each day. We looked forward to dinner every night. The food was varied, high quality, and full of flavor, and breakfast was just as good, with loads of fresh choices. The staff in the dining room, at reception, and in the kitchen were all warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about their work. Hotel Sonja was a perfect base for a ski trip. The slopes were only a short way away, and it was easy to relax and feel looked after after a long day. Everything came together for a wonderful vacation, and we’d happily return.

Our dogs were pampered and completely at home, while we had a relaxing, enjoyable week. The spaces were spotless and carefully maintained, with attention paid to both people and their four-legged companions. We stayed at this dog hotel with my partner and our dogs, and the staff were kind, helpful, and clearly passionate about animals. Their care came through in the little things they did.
