The hosts made us feel like one of their own, and the quiet surrounded by greenery was a real blessing after city life. The house sits high in the valley, a little off the beaten path, with a fantastic view. Their hospitality was truly commendable.

There are hiking trails close enough to reach on foot, from family-friendly routes to walks for experienced mountain hikers. The Stübilerhof sits on the hillside in the Ahrntal valley in South Tyrol, at 1200 meters, and the setting is exceptionally relaxing. The Maurer family welcomed us warmly and were happy to answer questions. The holiday apartment is lovingly furnished with a modern design. We could unwind on a deck chair or the small terrace, and the other Ahrntal villages were just a short drive away for a change of pace.

The apartment was new and practical, in a panoramic spot that was very quiet.
