We rented a car for very little, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The owners are warm, down-to-earth people, and made our three days even nicer. They also suggested places for us to see. The hotel is well suited to travelers who want active days and somewhere comfortable to relax afterward. It’s in a perfect spot for hiking, with amazing views, and the food was fresh and delicious. Thanks again for the hospitality ❤️

We felt at ease here, almost like we were visiting family, and we’ll definitely return. This is a hotel with a lot of warmth and thoughtful details, the kind of place that made us feel at home straight away. Its pizzeria serves excellent pizza during certain evening hours, and breakfast was simple, fresh, homemade, and satisfying. We’d seen that many negative reviews mention no air conditioning. We were there in mid-August, and it wasn’t a problem for us. The atmosphere stayed comfortable and pleasant throughout.

There’s not much to do in the village, so Hotel Cador works best as a stop when you’re too tired to continue driving to or from the Dolomites. A pizzeria 170m away is a dinner option I can recommend, but otherwise the village is quiet. The hotel sits right beside the super strada, so ask for a room away from the street. Sound carries too: we could make out every word our neighbors said outside their room. The rest was great. The building has an old Venetian style and an elevator, so luggage doesn’t need to go up the stairs. There’s plenty of parking behind it, very friendly staff who speak English well, and large, firm beds. Breakfast is freshly prepared and good value at Euro 15.

After a full day out, it was lovely to return to a quiet, comfortable place. Our room was clean and peaceful, and the views of the peaks were beautiful. The morning coffee and breakfast were delicious, but the evening pizza was the real treat: wood-fired, crisp crust, local toppings, and some of the best we’ve eaten in Italy. The staff were warm and attentive, knew the area well, helped us plan hikes, and even arranged transport. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. It’s a great base for hiking or skiing in the Dolomites, or simply getting away to enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend it for the hospitality, setting, and pizza.

The room was lovely and authentic, with tasteful decor, good cleanliness, and a big comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent too. Alongside the continental choices, they made us omelets and crepes, and brewed fresh coffee. Our bus was meant to go all the way to Valle di Cadore but left us in Tai di Cadore late at night, with no taxis around. I called the hotel to ask what we could do, and the woman on the phone arranged for her husband to pick us up. He came shortly after and drove us there. That was excellent service. I’d highly recommend this hotel and its staff to anyone traveling nearby. Five stars!
