Our room was lovely, with a balcony looking out over Lake Como, and the views were fabulous. The hotel felt welcoming and was conveniently right by the ferry stop for Bellagio. Breakfast was brilliant too.

For our winter stay, this gem was an ideal base for exploring. The atmosphere felt like stepping back in time, though the amenities didn’t. Staff were great, breakfast was great, and the views were epic.

The room turned out to be much bigger than we expected, and the staff were marvelous the whole time. We liked being near the ferries and watching people come and go over breakfast or a drink after a long day of trekking. The elevator helped with our bags; otherwise we took the stairs. If we come back to Varenna, we’ll stay at Hotel again.

After I missed the last ferry and couldn’t get any taxis to answer, I tried Hotel Olivedo. The owners were so welcoming, gracious, and incredible. My room was clean, beautiful, and spacious, with a gorgeous view of the water and ferry. Breakfast was a nice touch. Thank you!

The old-world feel made it seem like being in a movie, and the location couldn’t be better. The view is magnificent, and the staff are amazing. We’re so glad we found this incredible hotel. Highly recommended!
