We picked small rooms, but they had everything we needed. The place itself is cozy, quiet, and small, a lovely retreat. It’s officially a three star hotel, not a luxury one, but the care, upkeep, and little details made it feel much more special. We’ve stayed in shabby, dated four star places that were a letdown, and this gem didn’t disappoint us at all. The hotel has a real charm, and we felt looked after, as if the building was cared for too. The staff were friendly, professional, and so helpful.

We were able to freshen up and leave our luggage safely even though we got there at 10:30 in the morning, well before the 2 PM check-in. The hotel let us use a restroom before heading out for lunch. It was a great base for our wedding anniversary, close to Ponte Academia and within a short walk of St Marks, but far enough from the busiest tourist area. We stayed three nights. Our room was simple and very clean, with what we needed and a few complimentary minibar items. It was tidied each day while we were out, and we left the key at reception so staff knew we’d gone out. Everyone we met was polite and helpful. Breakfast was continental, served 7:30 to 9:30. There’s also a small roof terrace. Nights stayed quiet despite the hotel being on a main thoroughfare. Highly recommend.

The staff made this stay feel special. When our water taxi back to the airport let us down, the calm man at reception reassured me and talked through alternatives using his local knowledge. His suggestion was spot on. We could also borrow an umbrella when the rain came unexpectedly. Little things, but they mattered, and we hope to return. The hotel is spotless, and the whole team is cheerful, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast had cereal, fresh fruit, pastries, bread, cold meats and cheeses, plus some of the best coffee I’ve had anywhere. We were between Accademia and Zattere vaporetto stops, on a quiet street with Venice easy to reach on foot or by water bus. Rooms are spread over four floors, with a small lift that fits one person and a suitcase at a time. There’s a comfortable guest lounge on the second floor and a fourth floor terrace with tables, chairs, and a canopy for afternoon sun. The rooms have air conditioning, a fridge, safe, hairdryer, comfortable beds, and window fly screens. The safe won’t fit a laptop, but the wardrobes lock.

My wife, daughter, and I had a fantastic three night stay. We could walk everywhere from the hotel, and it was peaceful when we came back. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and having a restaurant on site was great. I’d definitely recommend it.
