We made a booking mistake and didn't realize check-in wasn't available after 23:00. Our flight was due to land at 00:00, so within five minutes of booking, and THREE weeks before our stay, we contacted the hotel to ask for a cancellation and refund. They refused, despite the quick notice and the time remaining before the stay. I feel the room could easily have been resold, so the refusal seemed unfair and gave the impression the policy was being used to profit from an honest mistake rather than cover a real cost. We had to book somewhere else and lost the full amount we paid here. We're very dissatisfied with how this was handled. The staff were unhelpful, customer service was poor, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel because of its lack of flexibility and understanding.

We were allowed to check in early and leave our car in the parking lot after checkout, which was helpful. Reception staff were friendly, and breakfast was good. Our room was a good size and clean, on the top floor with a balcony, though there was no table or chairs out there. Parking was free, and it was only a 6min walk to Venezia Mestre train station. We stayed at Hotel Ambasciata for one night while visiting Venice. Five stars from me.

There were mosquitos in the room, and we had no aircon for 2 nights. When we asked the front-liners to fix it, they were rude and handed us an electric fan instead. They also couldn't move us to another room, saying the hotel was fully booked. Never again with this hotel! 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

The internet was slow, which was the only downside. The room was clean, and the hotel is in a pleasant neighborhood, about a 5-10 minute walk from Mestre train station.

The staff were nice, and our basic room was clean. Breakfast was a decent buffet with enough choice to leave us satisfied, and it was included. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all in our fourth-floor room, which was the main drawback. We paid €60 for one night, which felt like great value, though prices may not always be that low. It’s under a 10-minute walk from the train station, and Venice is less than 20 minutes away. There are also a couple of small Asian or ethnic grocery shops nearby for snacks and essentials.
