Antico Mercato Bed Breakfast

We had a delightful one-night stay in Venice. Alessandro gave us fantastic advice for spending the day, and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was great too. Awesome stuff, highly recommend.

We slept so well: it was completely quiet at night, and the air con was already on and silent. The bed was huge and comfortable, the place fantastically clean, and the bathroom spotless and brilliantly equipped. Breakfast had a great selection, with coffee and water available at any time. They even left welcome artisan biscuits and sweets on the pillows. The location was amazing, and Alessandro went out of his way to make everything easy, replying quickly to questions, offering brilliant suggestions, and checking that we got in safely even on his day off. Way beyond what we expected. Highly recommend.

Alessandro knows Venice well and welcomed us warmly. He went over a town map with us and marked places to visit. We were close to lots of good places to eat, including the best gelato I had in Italy, which is on my profile at the end of this street. The water taxi is nearby, and there's a dry sauna and a jacuzzi room available to use. Our “king standard” room was right off the kitchen, so I could easily grab coffee and pastries whenever I wanted. It felt like being at home. We'd stay here again if we return to Venice.

Alessandro is a great host, and the welcome and hospitality here were amazing. The rooms, location, and cleanliness were all wonderful. He even upgraded us to a junior suite at no extra charge. I'd recommend staying here and would gladly come back. If there were a way to give more than five stars, I would.
