The area felt pleasantly local, with cafes and restaurants downstairs where you could sit and watch everyday life go by. It’s a fantastic location, and I’d choose to stay here again if I returned to Venice. Andrea kindly let us check in early and leave late, which made us feel at home right away. The room, bathroom, and housekeeping were great, and the AC worked well. The balcony was thoughtfully placed and designed. There was a strange smell in the downstairs entrance, where the room is on the first floor, but that seemed understandable given the water. Luckily, we didn’t have any mosquitoes.

We had a room overlooking the water, and the view was great. The place is near tasty pizza spots, too. Our host was so kind and helpful, and breakfast was amazing, with fresh croissants made to order and plenty of other lovely Italian food. Definitely go!

We stayed in March 2019 and had a wonderful time. Our hosts were some of the friendliest people we’ve met, and they helped us throughout our time in Venice. The bathroom was well kept, and our room was exceptionally clean and tidy. Breakfast at the hotel each morning was delicious. We’d gladly recommend it to everyone we know. Thanks so much!

Never again. The place was dirty and very noisy, and the restroom wasn’t private or in our room. There were about 40 mosquitoes on the bedroom ceiling. We were told we could leave our luggage at 10 a.m., but nobody showed up until 2:30 p.m. We had to carry our heavy bags around all day despite the promise that someone would be there.

The owner didn’t honor the requests they’d agreed to, putting in a large sofa bed instead of a baby cot, and then refused to take responsibility. Check-in was confusing, too: they sent us the wrong instructions, and communication was difficult. For the price, it wasn’t worth it. The room was noisy, not very clean, full of mosquitoes, and the door wouldn’t close properly.
