B&B Il Glicine Fiorito

The location turned out to be a great choice. This place is on Lido, a separate island that's peaceful and safe, with good transport connections. We stayed in an attic room split over two levels. The upstairs bedroom has a double bed, storage, and two roof windows. The sloped roof and low ceiling make parts of the room hard to use, though that wasn't a problem for our one-night stay. It's decorated in an old style. Downstairs, the bathroom is modern and nice. Everything was clean. The main drawback is the very narrow staircase between the floors, which isn't convenient if you're going up and down often, although we had no trouble. It was quiet, and the hosts live there too. There are no laundry facilities at the B&B, but a laundromat on the bus route is about 10 minutes away on Lido. Washing starts at €7, and drying costs €2 per 15 minutes. We found plenty of restaurants. Our favorite was takeaway pizza from “Punto Pizza da Maury”; a Margarita was only €6. There's also a nice supermarket chain, Conad City, with fresh cooked food and lots of other choices, just across from the Lido waterbus station. We bought two ACTV day cards for €35 each, and they were a must. They let us use all ACTV services freely, except the airport. For the airport, you can take bus number 5 from the main bus station, get off two stops before at Tessera, and walk to the airport with the card. We used the waterbuses many times, including late at night, so the cards gave us great flexibility.
