The stay was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and kind. There’s soap and shampoo in the bathroom, plus a fridge in the room. A couple of policies and charges took some getting used to: the city tax was €56, payable in cash, and there was another tax of about €3-4 per person to pay online. The hotel had sent the payment details before our trip. They also ask guests to leave their key at the front desk when going out during the day. Housekeeping changed the towels and bedding daily. It felt like a bit of a cultural shock at first, but we felt our belongings were very safe, and housekeeping just changed the towels and left.

The receptionist was consistently friendly and helpful, and the service was outstanding. Our room and the common spaces were very clean, which made for a comfortable stay. It’s a great hotel in an excellent location, with everything close and easy to get to.

We slept perfectly at Hotel Basilea. Even though it’s near the famous sights and busy areas, it was super quiet at night. The staff were so nice and helped with everything we needed. Getting there was easy too, about a 10-minute walk from the train station after crossing just two or three bridges. The location is perfect. If you want to be close to the action and still have somewhere peaceful to rest, stay here. Five out of five stars! 🌟

It’s easy to walk to this pleasant hotel from the train and bus station, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The area is near the center but not too crowded or noisy. The rooms are fine, nothing special, but I’d definitely recommend staying here.
