Getting around on foot was easy, including reaching the major bridge area, and the rooms felt peaceful when we came back from busy Venice. The place stayed clean, from the bedding to the bathroom, and had a simple, comfortable setup that worked well for our longer stay. The staff were warm and attentive without hovering. Welcome refreshments were a nice touch after traveling. We slept better than expected: the room was calm and well lit, and the WiFi and air conditioning worked smoothly, which made remote tasks easy. We’d gladly stay again on another Venice trip.

The rooms and building were clean, quiet, and comfortable. This is a very nice B&B close to Rialto Bridge, and we’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Venice.

The dispute began after I booked three nights directly through the website’s booking link and received a confirmation email. Two days later, the owners said they couldn’t honor the rates shown throughout 2026, calling them a mistake and apologizing. They couldn’t point to any reservation terms that allowed them to cancel for that reason, but still insisted the mistake had been made by an employee. They also said they were a small operation rather than a hotel. Being small doesn’t make it reasonable to back out of a business agreement when it no longer suits you. It’s worrying to see the rules bent this way, and I wouldn’t feel secure if something unexpected happened during a stay. I’m certain the owners would put their own interests first. Their later reply made things worse. They accused me of posting selective screenshots, blamed others for what was missing, and added claims I believe were false for their own benefit, despite having had the chance to address the gaps. The screenshots clearly show a business-to-customer exchange, yet they seemed unable to tell the difference between personal and business conversations. They also plainly rejected my reservation, which showed little hospitality despite having run the business for years. Their reply confirms they do enter into business contracts, which is exactly what the reservation was based on. Plenty of good reviews don’t necessarily mean a business is well run. Handling a difficult situation well is what matters, and in this case I saw the ugly side of the business. Guests need a safe place to rest, but Bianca Cappello House didn’t give me that confidence. Avoid it. The owners don’t stick to the business rules and reservation terms.

Giovanni welcomed us warmly. He’s lively and kind, and Luca, who was reachable on Whatsapp, gave us some really good suggestions and told me a local story. They let us leave our bags before the room was ready, then keep them there again on our departure day because our train was late. Those thoughtful gestures made our first Venice stay feel special. We hope to return. Our room was comfortable and very pleasant. We’d booked the last available option, which I think was also the least expensive, so there was no view. I do wish breakfast had been included. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room, though the coffee maker only did espresso con panna, and the kitchen had a kettle and teabags.

We got upgraded to the Family Studio, which was excellent, and it was cleaned daily. They also left complimentary espresso capsules, muffins and water each day. The price felt fair. The hotel sits on a quiet little alley, close to Rialto Bridge without being in a very touristy spot. Giovanni, the manager, was helpful from the time we booked and kept us informed about what we needed. There’s also an online site where you can upload your documents to make check-in easier.
