Ca' Beatrice

Being just beyond the busiest tourist streets made the stay especially nice. We could walk to the piazza and Rialto bridge each day, and there were cafes and restaurants nearby without nighttime noise. The hotel was charming, and our four January nights went smoothly. Self-service check-in was quick and easy. We also ran into a staff member each morning, and he was very welcoming.

The noise downstairs kept us awake until 1:00am. The bar apparently becomes a club at night, and both the music and conversations carried up to our room. I messaged the staff but got no reply. There was no reception or greeting, just keypad access to rooms up a steep, narrow staircase. Our bathroom was nearly impractical because it was so tiny, with the smallest shower I've ever seen and no bidet because there wasn't room. We were very disappointed.

That bed gave me the sweetest sleep I've ever had. The room had luxurious wallpaper, and the view out the window was beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet, self check-in was convenient, and the staff were helpful and kind. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to everyone.

We paid €67 a night in January, and for that price the service was great. The bed was comfortable and the location was excellent, though the place felt a little dated. I'd recommend it.
