Sant'Antonin Apartment

The service was above and beyond on our return visit. When I asked where I could get a birthday cake, the hotel bought one for us so we could celebrate our son's birthday. He tried several desserts that day and said that cake was his favorite :) Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the fresh, tasty breakfast was a hit with the kids, especially the pancakes. It's about five minutes from San Marco square, yet the street is quiet and away from the crowds. We hope to come back.

We were happy with even the cheapest room. The hotel has a lovely garden, breakfast was great, and the receptionists were very nice. One small issue was that the breakfast area cleaner seemed to be rushing and started taking things away during the stated breakfast hours. It was useful that we could leave our bags in storage even after checking out.

The garden was beautiful, and even though the property is right in central Venice, it sits on a quiet street within walking distance of the tourist sights. The staff were so welcoming. We loved staying here and will definitely recommend it and come back.

The courtyard photos on Instagram gave me the wrong idea. There is a courtyard, but it was much smaller than pictured and had no proper seating, so it wasn't really somewhere to spend time. I booked hoping for space to relax over coffee, and was disappointed when we arrived. The room also didn't look like the pictures and felt shabby rather than chic. It was cramped, small, and way overpriced at $400 a night, especially in the shoulder season. It was still very crowded, and in the other places we've stayed around Italy, that price has bought us luxury. We left very dissatisfied with our Venice experience. I realized I hadn't taken a single hotel photo because the stay was so underwhelming.
