I had a really pleasant stay here and wished I could have stayed longer to see more of Venice. The rooms were comfortable and nice, breakfast was relaxed and typical of what I had elsewhere in Italy, and the service was always friendly. I highly recommend it.

Noor was easily the best part of our stay. He was a wonderful manager and moved us to another building because the stairs in the main one were too much for us. The room was a good size, formerly a one-bedroom apartment, and the kitchen had been covered over, leaving a pleasant eating area. Still, the room was dark and dingy. The sheets were bleached clean but torn, and the bed cover wasn’t something you’d want to sleep under. The window sills were so dirty we couldn’t open the window, and the street garbage made opening it unappealing anyway. Being on the main level also meant hearing schoolchildren run past early in the morning, though the music school did provide daily concerts. There were many people sharing a room above us, too. The shower backed up, with someone else’s hair floating around my feet. I told Noor and he said he’d take care of it, but nothing changed. I’m not sure who handles the cleaning, but it feels like the owner isn’t getting what they pay for. I’ve seen reviews from people who loved the place, and maybe our experience was affected by being in another building. The owner may not be happy with a bad review, since they say people who write them never stayed there. For me, it felt like a hostel, nowhere near a hotel, though the location was fantastic. There were no bridges to haul luggage over, and the San Samuelle canal stop wasn’t far from the terminal. The ride was beautiful. San Marco Pallazzo, the Rialto and Academie bridges were close, and there were great restaurants in the nearest palazzo. It’s a lovely area. I’m sorry, I’m really not that picky, but the room was disgusting. Please take a look and clean it up a bit.

We really felt the atmosphere of Venice here. It’s in a great spot, and the hotel was clean, quiet, and had very kind staff. Breakfast was served every morning as expected. Whenever we had a question, they replied kindly by email or in person. Such a lovely experience, we warmly recommend it.

The neighbourhood was lovely and quiet at night, and the location was perfect. Whenever I mention a trip to Venice, people tell me I’ll never find an affordable hotel. I’ve told dozens of people about this gem in the heart of the city, and now I’m telling you: don’t miss this place, ca 'contarini 3026...
