Travelling with a baby is difficult enough without having to find somewhere to sleep at the last minute twice. While my family was at the airport on our arrival day, we got a message saying the previous guests were staying another night and we’d need to find somewhere else. The host simply said she’d see us tomorrow, without apologizing, and we scrambled to book a hotel during the busy Carnavale period. The next day, an automated message said the whole stay had been cancelled. We had to find last-minute accommodation for the rest of the trip all over again. I’d look elsewhere if you want a better chance of actually having somewhere to stay.

The host left us a binder with directions, restaurant suggestions, and lots of other information about Venice, which was really useful. The place felt homely and was away from the crowds, a welcome change at the end of the day. It was also a short walk from the dock where the airport boat drops passengers off. I’d definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay at ca’ dei Carpini. The host was fantastic, and the house was clean, fully equipped, and had everything we needed. It’s only a few minutes from the boat station, close to the city center, shops, and restaurants. We were given all the information we needed. We’d definitely recommend it and come back.

We want our belongings back. Since December 30, you haven’t replied to our calls, WhatsApp messages, or emails. We stayed in your apartment for several days, couldn’t reach you, and now you’re keeping things that aren’t yours. That’s theft, and it’s disgraceful. What we left behind means a great deal to us sentimentally. I’m disgusted by this kind of landlord. Shame on you for being so dishonest.

The landlady, Marina, was very friendly to deal with. The accommodation was perfectly clean and ideally located right by the ferry terminal for the islands. It had two rooms, two bathrooms, a washing machine, and a dishwasher.
