The place was super clean and the room service was very good. The stairs leading up to it were dirty, though, and water from the shower spilled all over the floor. Ilaria was really nice, and the customer service was outstanding. We arrived three hours early to drop our bags and they let us in without hesitation. They also lent us some Venice books and dictionaries. I’d come back.

The daily cleaning was done well, and the bathroom had everything it needed, though it too was low under the roof and could use an update. The room itself was spacious, but it was in an attic, with decent height only in the middle. Its single attic window let in very little light. The place had a dark, sombre feel, with dim walkways and lots of porcelain dolls, and an old-fashioned 80s look. I only saw one staff member, the woman who waited for us and gave us the key. The listing photos on Booking looked much better than the actual place, so be wary. It’s on the second floor, with two flights of stairs per floor, and our room had another set to climb. You may find better rooms around Venice, though they’ll probably cost more, and I think the extra money would be worth it.

We mostly needed a place to sleep after long days out, and the clean, tidy room, though a little small, suited us perfectly. The staff were friendly and welcomed us with some juice at check-in. It’s tucked away from the crowds but still a stone’s throw from the main attractions. Getting up three flights of stairs to the apartments could be hard for some people, especially with a lot of luggage.

We stayed for two nights. The laundry area was clean, but the bathroom wasn’t clean enough. On the second day, the room key suddenly broke while I was gently locking the door. There was no staff member available or phone number at the hotel. After we sent a message about our booking, a woman from the staff came over, but she was stressed and aggressive. She was unacceptably rude and unsympathetic. You can easily find somewhere else in Venice.
