Ca' San Rocco

Self check-in was easy, and there was a welcome drink in the little lobby. The place felt calm and was very clean, with everything seeming thoughtfully prepared. The rooms are simple, but ours had a kettle, tea and instant coffee, a small fridge, and two bottles of water. The bathroom had been freshly renovated.

The patio overlooking the garden was a lovely place for breakfast, with plenty to choose from, including cheese, deli meat, fruit, bacon and egg cups, cereal, baked goods, and cappuccinos made to order. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Getting into the property was straightforward even when staff weren't there, thanks to the clear instructions. It's well located for P. S. Marco, the vaparettos, and other sights. We did have mosquitoes after leaving the windows open, so use the aircon. The neighbours also had a party, but it was over by 11, so it wasn't too much of a problem. This was our second time in Venice, and I'd stay here again if we return.

It was peaceful at night, even though we could walk everywhere from this spot. The rooms were large and nice, and the whole place was incredibly clean. Breakfast was consistently very good. Honestly, it was nicer than a lot of five-star hotels I've stayed in.

There are plenty of bars, terraces, and restaurants nearby, and it's close to everything. The hotel itself is in a quiet part of Venice, near the train station. Our room was spotless and small, but perfectly adequate for us. The breakfast terrace is lovely, though it's a shame it isn't open during the day.
