Dorsoduro felt peaceful and close to local life, with good bookshops and chiccetti shops nearby. The hotel was quiet but still central, and we found the hospitality simple and genuinely helpful. The staff were always around, friendly, and smiling. Breakfast is basic, but more than good enough. The place was very clean, with high ceilings, a roomy bathroom with the essentials, and internet that worked perfectly. It has an old Venetian house feel. The location is great, about 4' from Ca'Rezzonico or Accademia Vaporetto Stop, and 10' from Piazzale Roma and San Marco sq.. One tip, GPS only works at the tops of bridges, but knowing that makes the hotel easy to find.

We had trouble getting inside when we first arrived and needed several phone calls before we could check in. Once that was sorted, the location was great. It’s just off the main thoroughfare, so walking around lets you see more of the different areas.

We decided on a last-minute trip to Venice, and the owner of another B&B arranged rooms for us here at short notice. We had to split our stay between two rooms, but both were lovely, with air conditioning, tasteful furniture, and even Italian television. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, full of authentic Italian restaurants, and nearly every corner looks like a Venice painting. Breakfast was simple but good, and the staff were even better, so friendly. I’d definitely recommend this B&B.

I paid in full after booking while the place was available, then the owner cancelled, saying it was “fully booked.” A few moments later, the place showed as available AGAIN.
