Carnival Palace Hotel

I really liked staying in this neighborhood, especially since it was my first visit to the area. The hotel is close to the canal route to the airport, two vaporetto stops, and the train station. Agli Archi, one of Cannargigio's best restaurants, is just a block away. The concierge team were excellent, both before the trip and during the day, and they speak several languages. My room was comfortable and clean, with Venetian decor that felt tasteful rather than cluttered. It was perhaps a little small for two, but enough space for me. The towels were especially nice, and there was a safe and a small fridge. Housekeeping was the one bad experience. The attendant left before finishing the room, and took my electricity key with them, which caused real inconvenience when I returned that evening. The night staff were not professionally trained, and over two hours their efforts only made the situation worse. I'm not rating the whole hotel negatively because of this. Problems can be fixed, and a manager's response matters. Juri Vatova never replied to my complaint. If an apology comes now, I obviously won't accept it. I skipped breakfast because it seemed expensive, and I didn't get a satisfactory explanation when I asked what was included. I didn't use the bar during the week, though I passed it on the way to the elevators. When I asked the bartender for tea bags, he was very friendly. There is no room dining service. Be careful not to leave your electricity activation card in the room. If you request something like toiletries, it may take a long time, and the delivery may be incomplete or not what you asked for. Getting around this part of Venice means a lot of walking. Most bridges have steps rather than ramps, and many streets have no names or signs. If you lose your way, though, the locals are lovely and try to help even if they don't speak much English. Credit cards are accepted, and taking public transport to Murano is easy and inexpensive. Art is everywhere, not just in museums. I loved the flower and vegetable stalls, the people, and the neighborhood away from the busiest spots. I'm in love with Venice, and I think you will be too.

A quiet setting, pretty canal views, and lovely shops and restaurants just two minutes away made this a perfect hotel for us. Getting to the tourist spots was easy on foot or by water bus, with a stop right outside. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the staff were attentive and wonderful throughout. We loved the bar, and Massimo was especially good at making the evening. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had at any hotel, with a fantastic choice. Thanks so much to the whole team. We’ll definitely come back.

The main sights take a bit of walking to reach, though that was fine for us, and public or private water taxis are another way to get around. The hotel is only a 5-10 minute walk from the train station, with friendly staff and clean rooms. I’d stay again.

The area had great restaurants and less traffic, and the hotel staff were amazing and friendly. Our accommodations were even better than we expected. It was our first visit to Venice, and the lounge team, especially Francesco, helped make it memorable. Thank you!
