It’s a very basic hotel, set away from the main crowds, which was a real plus. The alley gets noisy, and you can hear noise from the kitchen while breakfast is being made. The shower drain also had an issue, and the elevator wasn’t working, which seems like a common problem in Europe. Still, these things felt somewhat expected, so I can’t really complain. I’d get up early to beat the crowds, then come back for a nap when it’s fairly quiet.

Breakfast was lovely, and so were the staff. The location worked well, though getting to the station meant quite a walk, around 2 km and 10 bridges. The room itself was plain but clean, and there was only one place to plug in my phone, watch, power banks, and straightener, though I made it work. Noise carries easily between rooms. I’d still choose to stay here again.

I never ended up staying because my flights were cancelled due to the war in the Middle East. The hotel wouldn’t offer even a partial refund.

The area made for peaceful evenings by the canal. It’s nicely placed for exploring Venezia, and feels quiet without being too touristy. I stayed two nights; my room was simple and clean, and having a kettle was handy for a quick coffee before heading out. Wi-Fi worked great, and the woman at reception was warm and welcoming.
