It's a reasonable apartment to rent, but the price can feel steep if you don't have enough people to fill the space. We paid 220 euros a day for a three-person room. The location is good: quiet but close to St Mark's square, and the view from the third-floor patio was pretty nice. Getting in was easy once we had the door code, so make sure the email with it arrives before you set off. Ours only came the day before, and I didn't see it until after we got there. The owner is usually nearby in the mornings or reachable by cell, and spoke English well enough for us to communicate. The stone walls make the Wi-Fi signal patchy depending on where you are. During our stay, the access point itself was faulty, so most connections failed unless you set a static IP on your computer. Once connected, there was no timed access code. The owner thought the line was bad, but it was the access point. Air conditioning also needed some fiddling: in a couple of rooms it struggled to cool the bedroom unless set up just right, so learn how to use it before the first night. The top-floor bathroom has a bathtub, but the ceiling is so low you have to shower on your knees. We had to reset the hot water once; otherwise it worked. There's no breakfast, as this isn't a B&B, and no elevator, so expect to carry luggage up a lot of stairs, as in much of Venice. The kitchen is basic and had a few things missing. The owner brought them after we mentioned it, though they really should be checked between guests. You'll need to bring basics like salt, pepper, and paper towels yourself.

We had three separate rooms in our unit, which worked really well for our family, and the location is central. Access was easy. There's a small kitchen and a washing machine, but no dryer.

No stress, great location, and it turned out better than we expected. Perfect!

A nice place, though it was hard to find.

The main drawback is all the stairs, which make getting a large suitcase upstairs quite a workout. Otherwise, the apartments are spectacular and very well equipped for cooking, with a luxurious bathroom. The price is a little high, but you get what you pay for.
