The hotel was in a nice building and a very good location, but the service and some basics let it down. Trivago showed one price, then we were charged much more. When we complained, the hotel said, “Let’s not argue about some more money. It is the fault of the platform that gives wrong info.” I don’t believe that’s true; I think the hotel raised the charge after it had our credit card number. Breakfast staff were very rude, especially around the coffee, and the food was average. The cakes were far too sweet and the croissant was dry. We also found hair on the toilet floor, so the cleaning seemed average. Overall, it felt like a nice property run by unprofessional staff.

The staff were very kind, and the location was good, though the address wasn’t easy to find on Google Maps. It’s a small hotel with clean rooms, but ours wasn’t very bright. The bathroom was large. The mini fridge didn’t work, and breakfast was basic. Wi-Fi only allowed one user at a time, so we basically didn’t use it.

The room was nice, and we were close to a lovely plaza. The Accademia is just nearby, and walking to St. Pauls was easy enough. Staff were really kind, and breakfast was good: croissants with Nutella and jam, plus bread, cereal, and yogurt.

The breakfast kitchen is a bit cramped, though I guess that adds to the charm. The room was small but comfortable, with pretty traditional wallpaper patterns and ceiling beams. Staff were warm and friendly.

The bathroom was very small and could have been cleaner, and there was a bit of an old smell in the room. Still, the rooms were nice, and the person at reception was very pleasant and spoke English really well. It's central, about a 10-minute walk from San Marco square.
