The garden is a little oasis in the city, full of lovely trees, and the holiday house gave us our own kitchen and two bathrooms. Luca was an enthusiastic, welcoming host. I've visited Venice three times, and this was my favorite stay. Buses to Venice island are only a few minutes away, and being able to escape the crowds was brilliant. I wouldn't stay on the island next time. I'll definitely be back! 😊
We felt at home from the moment we arrived, thanks to the wonderful hosts, Luca and Sonia. Luca knows Venice incredibly well and gave us a quick rundown of must-see sights and restaurants. His tips helped us experience the city more like locals instead of sticking to the usual tourist itinerary. Casa Lunia is a lovely place to stay, and we came away feeling we'd made new friends. I can't recommend it enough.
We came to Venice for the last weekend of Carnival, and staying at Casa Lunia was fantastic. Our self-contained apartment had a bedroom overlooking the apartment, plus a kitchen, living area, dining area, and two bathrooms, one with a bath and the other with a shower. It also had WiFi, parking, a washing machine and more. Venetian furniture gave it a lovely traditional look, much like the city itself. Sonia and Luca did everything they could to make us comfortable and showed us local areas and places to eat and drink. The bus to Venice City Centre stops at the street corner, about two minutes away, and takes 15 minutes. Mestre, where the guesthouse is, also has some really nice places to visit. We'll definitely come again.
The location worked really well, with a bus ride of about 10 minutes to Venezia and convenient outdoor space and parking. Luca was very helpful, too.
We were three, me and my two teenage daughters, and spent four nights at Casa Lunia. The room was spacious and spotless, with bright windows and a big bathroom. Wi-Fi was excellent, breakfast was delicious every day, and we loved having a library of books to browse. The property felt open and welcoming, and both Casa Lunia and the surrounding Mestre area felt safe and secure. Luca made us feel at ease from the start. He was friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and generous with suggestions for things to do in Venice, on the mainland, and in nearby cities. We tried all his recommendations and enjoyed them. The bus stop is close, restaurants and shops are an easy short walk, and the bus and train station are a brief ride away. We sometimes walked there to take in the local sights. I can't say enough good things about our stay, and highly recommend Casa Lunia with Luca.
