Hotel Casa Nicolò Priuli

The staff were always helpful when we asked for maps, transport advice, or restaurant suggestions. Our room was large and comfortable, with a canal view, and the location made it easy to explore Venice. Breakfast was served in the hotel next door, which was fine by us, though it’s worth knowing, and checking in there was a little confusing at first but quickly sorted out. The breakfast was average and some of the furnishings were a bit tired, if I’m being picky. Still, it felt worth the price to us.

The views and room service were top-notch, and the hotel was spotless. The staff were always smiling, polite, sweet, and looking after us. Their customer service was brilliant and went beyond what I expected. From beginning to end, it was a wonderful stay, easily the best hotel I’ve stayed at across 15 countries. Can’t fault it, highly recommend booking.

Ali helped us with our bags again when reception called a water taxi as we were leaving, and they were just as helpful on arrival, showing us to our room in the next building. We stayed at Casa Nicolò Priuli for a night before heading off on our honeymoon, and the private terrace overlooking the canal was the highlight. The room was beautiful and classical, with an updated bathroom, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. It was hot outside, so the room became a welcome place to cool off between activities. Reception got us settled quickly and gave us an annotated map with food and sightseeing suggestions. They were also happy to keep our bags after checkout until we were ready to collect them. Make sure to eat at CHICeria, which is attached to the hotel. Reception can book a table by phone from your room.

The rooms are reached by steep flights of stairs, so bear that in mind. Otherwise, the location is excellent, and I strongly recommend the place.
