The spot worked perfectly for us, almost beneath Rialto Bridge, with the Grand Canal, restaurants and little shops nearby. The train station is about a 25-minute walk away. Staff were thoughtful and helpful, and the front desk spoke good English. There's also a restaurant at the hotel that gives guests a small discount. We were in the newer building on the second floor. The room was clean, nicely decorated and roomy enough for two, with soap, shower caps, a hairdryer, towels, a fridge and a safe. But noise carries from both inside and outside, so light sleepers may struggle. The shower pressure was weak, and there was no full-length mirror or hooks for clothes and towels, even in the bathroom. Breakfast had plenty of meat and cheese, hard-boiled eggs, fruit mixed together in one bowl, toast, yogurt, cereal, baked goods, coffee, tea and juice. It kept us full, though I would've liked more fruit and vegetables. I'd stay again and recommend it for travelers on a smaller budget, but there's room to improve.
