Albergo Commercio e Pellegrino

We stayed for a week last September, and the price, service, and location were hard to beat. The included breakfast was wonderful, the bed was comfortable by European standards, and the room and bathroom were nice and fine, respectively. Front desk staff were always helpful, and we’d definitely come back. The hotel is steps from the Vaporetto and St. Mark's Square, with plenty of street food nearby. There’s a convenience store close by, a market about a 10-15 minute walk away, and a laundromat at a similar walking distance.

I’ve been to Venice four times and stayed in pricier places, but the location and service here are hard to beat. Every person at reception was incredibly kind and did everything they could to help. They even sorted out our last-minute water taxi and helped with luggage. The rooms are simple but sparkling clean, the beds really comfy, and the a.c. worked flawlessly, which matters a lot in summer. We were only on the second floor, yet the street was surprisingly quiet at night and had plenty of lovely cafes and restaurants. Thanks for such a great stay!

There are older negative reviews that are probably outdated and about a different property once run by this hotel. My wife and I had a perfect three-night stay in this cozy little place. The bed was comfortable, the location central but away from noise, and the staff were kind and very helpful. They arranged a water taxi for checkout.

The furniture is old, but clean, and the hotel is affordable. Our room was really clean too, and had a fridge. You can use the safe with a €20 deposit. Breakfast was basic but okay. We’d read reviews expecting the worst, then were pleasantly surprised. The location is amazing, close to st.Marco and convenient for getting everywhere. If you want a well-located hotel with clean rooms, give Commercio a try.
