The owner showed us around the factory, and it was stunning. The rooms were beautifully decorated with plenty of the gold mosaics made on site. Our room was peaceful, with no traffic noise, and had a very exclusive feel. Orsoni was far nicer than the Booking.com pictures suggested, which really surprised us.

The owner was so friendly, and she made a great breakfast. We found the rooms really clean and lovely, and the place is super central. We had an amazing time in Venice, largely thanks to domus. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

My husband and I had a wonderful couple of days at Valentina’s hotel. It’s conveniently located for train travellers, about a 10-minute walk from the railway station. The service was perfect, and we were glad we ordered breakfast. We enjoyed the stay so much.

As a mosaic artist, I’d say this is the place to stay in Venice. The accommodation was fabulous, with a large room and a huge balcony looking out over the Orsoni foundary. Highly recommend it.

The highlight for us was the mosaic workshop. When I mentioned our love of Italian art, they took time out of their day to give us a personal tour. Unmissable! They do restoration work for places let's just call Atican-Vay Ity-Cay and the Ouvre-Lay, and had mosaic tiles in 98 shades of flesh. The hotel itself is a great small place, warmly welcoming and artfully designed, with a little garden. The folks at Hotel Ca' Dogaressa referred me when I visited Venice in the off season, and I seriously owe them for that. Domus Orsoni is a must-see as both a hotel and an art stop, whether you come in high season or low season.
