Duodo Palace Hotel

I had a great stay and would very likely book again on my next trip. The location was great, the service was excellent, and breakfast was good. The mattress felt too firm for me, and the shower head’s position meant it was prone to flooding. Those are small issues, and probably specific to the Deluxe Double Room I stayed in.

We were there for two nights. The staff knew a lot about good places to eat and shop, and were very helpful. Our room was clean. The breakfast was a big letdown for the 40 euro we paid for two. Definitely don’t spend your money on it. Get a pastry and coffee at a local place instead.

We arrived by water taxi and stepped right into the hotel, which was such a unique experience. The hotel itself was lovely, the small suite had a little balcony, and everyone we met was kind and helpful. Breakfast was good, and the location was decent. But the stay was overshadowed by a small bag disappearing from our room. It held over $600 USD worth of merchandise, including a leather purse and six wallets. It was there when we left in the morning and gone when we returned that evening. After several emails, the hotel didn’t resolve it or take responsibility. My homeowners’ insurance didn’t cover the loss. It was a disappointing and costly end to an otherwise pleasant stay at an already expensive hotel.

I could walk to all the places I wanted to see, since Duodo Palace hotel is beautiful and right in the centre of Venice. I really enjoyed my time there. The Duodo team were responsive and very helpful. They arranged for my mother to be picked up from the airport and brought straight to the hotel. Their service is top. Breakfast was very good quality, so I didn’t need to run out to restaurants in the morning. Thank you Masini and Marco !!
