Fiore della Laguna

The apartment was nice and had what we needed. The snag was that the check-in notes explaining the locker box arrived only after we'd reached the property. The front door also seemed stuck, so we called the owner for help. Her English wasn't very good, but we eventually figured out you just have to hit the door hard at the bottom :)

The hostess was incredibly helpful and knew the area well, and getting in with the safe was easy. The apartment is in a quiet square in the heart of Cannaregio, about a five-minute walk from the Fondamente Nove pier. It's small, but warm and comfortable, with a kitchenette and coffee machine on the ground floor. Wi-Fi was excellent, and it stays warm in winter, though bring slippers :) Hot water pressure at the bathroom taps and shower wasn't very strong. We were also asked to sort and take out our waste, but hadn't received a knock, so we had to find someone to help us.

The apartment was roomy and comfortable, with everything looking new. It had hot water, an espresso machine, an electric kettle, and other useful things that made staying there easy. It's close to the boat station, and the host was friendly, easy to reach, and gave us helpful tips. I could live here. When I return to Venice, I'll stay here again.

I was really pleased with my three-night stay. The setting and location were lovely, and cleanliness was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. There was plenty provided, from cutlery and pots and pans to towels and cotton swabs, and more.
