Hotel Corte Contarina

Front of house, Mustafa, made our two-night stay even better. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. There were three of us, and the room was spacious enough for us; it also had facilities for wheelchair users. Everything was perfect. Thank you for being such a lovely host.

I left Hotel Corte Contarina immediately because the receptionist's behavior toward my friend was aggressive and verbally abusive. He shouted and used offensive language in front of other guests, and I felt unsafe and threatened. The stay was extremely stressful, and I can't recommend the hotel. Our confirmed booking was for three people, with two separate beds and a sofa bed, but the room didn't match it. The beds had been pushed together and the extra bed was squeezed into such a small space that the room felt cramped and uncomfortable. The bathroom was nearly unusable too: the water switched between scalding and freezing, and the pressure often dropped to zero. Other guests have reported similar problems in reviews.

There were plenty of shops nearby, and the location was really convenient. The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful I've met. The room was great, and breakfast was excellent too.

How anyone calls this a 3-star Hotel, I don't know. The breakfast was mediocre at best, and some rooms open directly onto the breakfast area. You can hear everything through the paper-thin walls. The place was dirty and run down, with a moldy bathroom, broken appliances, and a room that didn't match the ad. There are 72 stairs and no escalator, plus wasps in the stairway. Twice I couldn't get into the hotel because nobody was at the counter. Horrible experience. Spend the money on somewhere beautiful.
