The breakfast felt a little sparse to me, and our top-floor room had tiny windows up by the ceiling with no view. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel was clean. Its location is its strongest point. It’s decent, but nothing fancy, more hostel-like than I expected. I definitely wouldn’t call it a three-star hotel as Google does.

The breakfast was good, and the staff were polite. The room was small, but I found it really cozy. It sits by a little canal, with the bus station not far away, though the Grand Canal and railway station are a bit of a walk. It's surrounded by old, beautiful buildings, so the atmosphere is lovely. This is the same management as Hotel Al Malcanton. It wasn’t easy to find the first time, but for the price, I’d recommend it.

The woman at reception was very rude, and at first she wouldn’t give us our money back. The rest of the staff were polite and kind. Our room and bathroom looked beautiful. They were clean, though there were some spots in the room that weren’t.

I’m now trying to recover the money for my colleague, as I’m a travel manager. He had booked a stay last year but couldn’t go because Italy was closed. When he requested a refund, the hotel replied, “article 88 of law-decree no. 18/2020 , we send you a voucher worth € 476,80”. The email didn’t actually include a voucher, and it only arrived recently after months of chasing. The law says the hotel should offer a refund or a voucher within 30 days, but they did neither. I consider it very dishonest to misrepresent the decree’s terms to force a voucher. They have since said he should have cancelled the voucher to get a refund, which no one would think to do without being told.
