The rooftop terrace was the highlight for us. We went up every evening, had afternoon tea and dessert there, and thought it was beautiful. The place is right in the middle of Venice, with spacious, well-decorated rooms that were clean and comfortable. There’s a big, steep staircase to climb, but it was worth it, and the owner has clearly put thought into the design. Our room was just off the shared kitchen, but double doors kept out any noise and gave us extra privacy. The place was quiet at night. There was usually food in the kitchen, like fruit, cake, biscuits, and tea. One morning there was no milk or orange juice, but plenty of yoghurt instead.

La Finestra sulle Beccaria is a lovely place to stay, just a stone’s throw from Rialto Bridge. The rooms have recently been renovated, and the terrace, or altana, gives you a stunning 360-degree view over Venice’s rooftops. My mum and I stayed in the Junior Suite. I counted seven windows, each with lovely glimpses of everyday life in Venice. We were there for La Boheme at Teatro La Fenice, just 14 minutes away over the Rialto Bridge. The location is excellent, a few metres from the Fish Market and some nice restaurants. We tried Cantina do Spade, which I recommend. Maurizio was a great host, and his assistant Alessandra was very helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine on the rooftop terrace. It was an amazing experience. Book through their website for the best possible rates. We’ll be back for sure!

We could walk to San Marco square, Doge's palace, designer shops, good restaurants and bars in about 10-15 minutes. Our junior suite was lovely and roomy for the four nights, and Maurizio made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend! 😊

The rooftop terrace was the highlight, with a 360 view over the city. Our room was spacious and modern, and the shared kitchenette had a fridge and coffee machine. Staff were friendly and helpful, and it was a comfortable place to stay in Venice.

One night felt far too short. The room was roomy, with modern decor and a lovely balcony, and we really enjoyed staying here. We walked from the main train station in about 15 minutes, and tourist sights were around 5-15 minutes away on foot. There’s a great local wine and cold cut store next door. Just be ready for quite steep stairs.
