The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and having a washing machine was handy, even though it risked flying into orbit during the spin cycle. The pub crowd below behaved well in September, and you can eventually change the TV instructions from Polish. The Wi-Fi was very poor, though, and the place is above a pub with outdoor service until 1 am. It's on the second floor with no elevator, and the narrow stairs give you a warm-up before the walk to the bus stop for Venice. The small kitchen is lightly equipped, but useful if you're staying a few days. The price is a bit high for what you get. Still, the lodging gives you a chance to see a little of Mestre, with a very nice spot and lovely shops right behind the rooms. The airport is a 20-minute taxi ride costing 35 euros.

It's a little hard to find, perhaps, but that also means you can sleep without noisy crowds around. There are good restaurants nearby, and it's very easy to catch the bus into Venice. The room was clean and comfortable, and more interesting than a typical hotel room. A great place if you'd rather stay outside Venice proper.

Legrenzis rooms are in a friendly, pleasant pedestrian neighbourhood, just a three-minute walk from the bus stop for an easy ride straight into Venice. The room was spotless, stylish, and really comfortable. Thank you for the warm welcome and wonderful hospitality. Highly recommended!

Getting to the canals was easy after the staff explained the transport options, fares, where to buy tickets, and marked things on a clear map. I thought that was especially helpful. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from Venezia-Mestre train station, or a 5-minute bus ride, then just 2 minutes on foot from the stop. There are shops and plenty of places to eat nearby. My room was clean and pleasant, and the air conditioning worked well. Staff were nice, though a little careless: they had forgotten to collect the city tax from my friends the night before, so I paid it for them when I arrived. Having a credit card made that easy. I didn't try breakfast, but saw cereal, bread, and fruit, which looked decent. The price was very reasonable. I stayed one night and had a great time. I'd recommend it for a Venice trip.
