Locanda Antico Casin

Right in the center but still very quiet, the room was warm, clean, and comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfy, and the bathroom was clean with all the basics, plus slippers and towels. They brought fresh water each day, and there was tea and a coffee machine with tea and coffee.

Once we finally found Locanda, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is right by San Marco, with everything within walking distance. It took us more than an hour and a half to locate it, though, and neither Google Maps nor the map on the website helped much. We eventually called the hotel and got directions over the phone. Breakfast could be better. I initially thought the price was quite high, but given the location and Venice hotel prices generally, it wasn’t too bad, though I say that grudgingly.

The hosts were warm and friendly, and the terrace was lovely with a delightful breakfast. Our room was a good size for two, beautifully decorated, and immaculately clean. The bathroom was fantastic, too. The location near san marco was the best. There are three flights of stairs up to the terrace, but after all the eating in italy, that felt like good exercise. I’ll definitely stay here again when I return to Venezia.

The rooms had a nice feel, though they were cramped enough that two people couldn’t pass each other at once. The property was hard to reach because it’s tucked inside. Staff were friendly, and the hostess spoke English. Breakfast came on time, the washroom was clean, and check-out was quick. Wi-Fi was very good. There was an extra city tax to pay.
