Alberto shared useful tips that helped us get more out of our visit, and we’d definitely return. We spent two nights at Madame Garden Retreat, where we were upgraded when we arrived. Our clean, spacious room looked out over the canals. The garden offered a quiet, shady break with a glass of Aperol, away from the main tourist route. It felt more like staying in someone's Venetian home than in a hotel, which made the trip special.

The staff were happy to suggest things, arrange reservations, and make everything easy. Breakfast was beautiful, with delicious scrambled eggs and more pastries, fruit, and yoghurt than we could wish for. We also loved the comfortable bed and pretty decor. The peaceful garden was a lovely place to escape the August crowds before wandering along the canals. A fabulous hotel.

Madame Garden made our vacation in Venece unforgettable. The customer service was out of this world, and they helped with reservations and tour bookings. Breakfast had fresh, amazing ingredients, too. It's a great location and just the sort of unique, refined boutique experience you'd hope for.

Our hosts, Mara and Lorenzo, were wonderful. The hotel has individually designed rooms and lavish breakfasts served in a garden dappled with sunlight. It's a calm little oasis, just steps from the busy canal-side bars and restaurants of Cannaregio. Grazie mille!

Cannaregio is a nice area to stay, with plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby and fewer tourists. The hotel itself gave us a real retreat feeling. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully done, the breakfasts are absolutely decadent, and the service was excellent. I can only recommend staying here!
