Palazzetto Da Schio

Elisabetta was a friendly, helpful host, and my family really enjoyed our stay. Our two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment had a lounge and kitchen, was clean and well furnished, and came with comfortable beds and good Wi-Fi. Palazzetto da Schio is in a beautiful, quiet residential neighborhood, yet great restaurants, several museums including the Guggenheim, and two vaporetto stops on the Grand Canal and the Giudecca are only a short walk away. San Marco is also easy to reach on foot. It's a great spot for avoiding crowds while keeping everything close, and I highly recommend it as good value.

Elisabetta was so nice and shared useful ideas and tips that helped make our family trip a success. We had a fantastic stay at the elegant Palazettto, and the comfortable rooms were even better than we expected. If Google offered six stars, I'd gladly give them to this wonderful place!

Elisabetta made us feel at home. She lives on site with her family and was always reachable on Whatsapp for local suggestions, water taxi help, or questions. Before our arrival, she sent details about the train station and water taxi and ferry options, and arranged a time to meet us. She showed us around the apartment and shared tips on restaurants, wine stores, and shopping. Our family, two adults and children aged 6 and 11, stayed four nights at the end of June 2018 and loved our home away from home at Palazetto da Schio. The apartment was quiet, spacious, and comfortable, with a large clean bathroom and a living room overlooking a peaceful courtyard. The main bedroom had a large bed and lots of closet space; the children loved their beds on a raised platform by the dining and living area. There was a big dining table for six or seven, and the kitchen had a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, dishes, and utensils. We also regularly used the shopping cart in the storage area for grocery trips. There was more storage downstairs for strollers, luggage, or other things. The location south of San Marco, across the Grand Canal and near the Peggy Guggenheim, was just right for us. We liked the residential feel away from busy tourist areas, with shops, restaurants, and grocery stores within 10 minutes and the Spirito Santo ferry terminal less than a three-minute walk away. We couldn't have asked for more and will absolutely stay here again when we return to Venice.
