Pesaro Palace

Gentjana at reception was so welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast staff made each morning enjoyable. The whole team went out of their way to make us feel cared for. Our room was fabulous, and the location was hard to beat. We had a delightful stay at Pesaro Palace and I’ll definitely return with my family. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We had a disappointing weekend. The staff were kind, and the hotel has a lot of potential, but this should have been an impressive, romantic stay and wasn’t. There was just one staff member after 18.00, with no one serving at the bar. The central location is excellent, right by the canal and ferry stop, and our Deluxe room had a great canal view. But compared with my visit eight years ago, the hotel now seems badly neglected. The room smelled, the mirror was broken, the sofa cover was nearly worn through, and the furniture was dented with its varnish coming off. Several skirt boards were pulling away from the walls. The pillows felt like something from a 1 star hotel, and many 220 v outlets didn’t work. The one available outlet was broken and dangerous for children. The bathroom fittings were so worn that more brass than chrome was left. I know it’s a protected building, but that doesn’t excuse these problems. It’s in urgent need of refurbishment.

Across three visits, about 13 days in total over the last few years, everything has consistently been excellent. The front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast room teams are all welcoming, friendly, and dedicated to doing a great job.

The breakfast was great, and the location made getting around easy. It’s right at a ferry stop and within walking distance of pretty much everything. The hotel itself was just okay, nothing special. The reception staff we met were unfriendly and unhelpful. We wouldn’t stay here again if we returned to Venice.
