The location made it easy to walk around, though finding the place at first was a bit difficult, and phone communication with Davide was challenging. We managed to work it out ourselves. Davide was very friendly and deserves five stars for that, but I had other issues. We visited in late August, and the room was hot. There was an AC unit, but the cool air didn't circulate, and Davide didn't have any fans, so sleeping was uncomfortable. The elevator was tiny and hot. Taking the stairs means a climb, and you'll want a flashlight. I probably wouldn't return in summer, though maybe in cooler months.

We slept well because it was so quiet at night, and the room was lovely and very clean. I especially liked the fresh, crisp sheets. David was an attentive and accommodating host, eager to help with all our needs. We found the place easily with Google Maps, and its location near Rialto Square worked well for us. A great experience, and David really is a super host.

Davide was a friendly, helpful host, and breakfast was served each day from 8-10. Our room was large, with real closet space, and the bathroom was the first one we'd used that didn't feel cramped as Americans. The location is just off the main tourist path, but it's about a 30-minute walk to San Marco and 15 minutes to Santa Lucia train station. You can get around Venice on foot pretty quickly.

Our room is spacious, with a king-size bed, lots of room, and a private ensuite. It's close to the pier, a supermarket, and shops. Davide is friendly and knows the area well. I'd be glad to stay again.

The room was better than we expected from the photos, and the surrounding buildings and square have a lively feel. Our host, Davide, was extremely kind. Right in the heart of Venice. Five stars, period.
