Residenza Favaro

The stairs are the main drawback, so be ready to carry your suitcases up several flights. Our room was on the top floor, rooms 96 and 97 are up there and 90 is at the bottom, though I can’t say if all eight rooms are alike. Lower floors mean fewer steps, but you may hear more street noise and the construction that was happening next door during our stay. We liked the room more than expected. It was cute, with skylights, unusual glass fixtures, a glass art display on the wall, free Wi-Fi and water bottles, nice toiletries, comfy towels, and lots of table space. It was clean, though mosquitoes were an issue. A sign advised keeping the windows shut to reduce them. The location was incredibly convenient. Check-in and checkout for Residenza Favaro are at Hotel Ala, a few blocks away, and we were able to leave our bags there after checkout. There isn’t a dedicated desk or clerk at the property for questions. Things went smoothly enough, and our beds were made during the day, so the service was fine, just mostly absent.

The bed was really comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The room was good, and the hotel is well located. You have to check in and out somewhere else, but it’s very close, so that wasn’t an issue for us. There’s no elevator, as we knew before arriving, but it’s something to keep in mind if you have lots of luggage.

The place is tucked into a small alley just off the busy main street, so it’s quiet, but you’re back among the crowds in about 30 seconds. It’s very central, with shops and attractions only a short walk away. The rooms were surprisingly spacious, clean, and kept in good shape with daily cleaning. Good value if you just need somewhere to sleep, and I’d stay again. You check in and out at Hotel dell’ opera, a two-minute walk away, and use a key card to get in. Losing the card costs 5 euros.

The location is great, just a three-minute walk from St Mark's square, with everything easy to reach. The room is small but very clean and has what you need, except for enough power outlets. To charge a phone, we had to unplug the TV. The bed was really comfortable, and we slept well in the quiet room. Reception is open 24/7 at Hotel Opera, about 90 meters away, and the staff there are kind and helpful. We recommend it.
