Rosso Charm

I really liked the location, right along the main route through the city to San Marco, with lots of restaurants nearby. The room had so much charm, and the welcome was very friendly. As a solo woman traveler, I wanted somewhere local and safe, and this place gave me that and more. I could walk there from the train station with my luggage, and they let me check in much earlier because my train arrived early in the day. Highly recommend.

The owner was genuinely kind and friendly, and the room was perfect, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, with sweet and savory choices like hard-boiled eggs, croissants, Nutella, muffins, cheese, and fruit. An excellent B&B in the heart of Venice. I’d recommend it.

It was lovely waking up, opening the window, and hearing the city come to life. The place is right in the heart of Venice, and we loved it. The rooms are stylishly decorated, and the women handling breakfast were super friendly and helpful. Guglie, the waterbus stop for the airport, is about a two minute walk away, with another stop nearby for getting around Venice and the surrounding islands. Check-in and checkout were easy too. Mateo sent all the details ahead of time, and we just followed his instructions.

Avoid this place. I stayed one night, got multiple bedbug bites, and brought them home with me. I later saw that a review had reported bedbugs a week before my stay. I should have checked, but at £170 a night I didn't expect this problem. I know hotels can't always prevent bedbugs when travelers pass through, but I can't understand carrying on, taking people's money, and risking that they spread the bugs to their homes. They never replied to my email about it, and they seem not to care about running an honest business.
