Houria and the breakfast team looked after us so well. There was plenty to choose from, and the selection changed each day, though the perfect scrambled eggs were there every morning. The staff throughout the hotel were amazing, friendly, helpful, and always around when needed. We spent a week here in January and had a fantastic stay. Our king bed was very comfortable, and the gorgeous marble bathroom felt luxurious. The whole place, including our room, was sumptuously decorated in the Venitian style. The hotel has its own pier and is about 15 steps from the water taxi/bus stop, with a direct connection from the airport. It sits right on the Grand canal, with stunning views that include the Rialto bridge. Beautiful inside and out, and full of thoughtful details.

Even with Venice's constant stream of tourists, the hotel handles things with real grace. The location is hard to beat, the rooms are spotless, and the staff are warm and attentive rather than routine. Genuinely impressive ❤️

The shower was a problem: water got all over the floor because the door didn't contain it, leaving things slippery. There also wasn't enough cold water, probably a plumbing issue, so we had to be careful not to scald ourselves when turning on the hot tap. The room itself was very comfortable, though, and breakfast was awesome. There's a nice bar overlooking the Grand Canal. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is conveniently placed on the canal, around a 15-minute walk from St. Mark's Square, and easy to reach from the train station.

Breakfast was mediocre. I’ve stayed at the sister property, the Centurion near the Dogana, and that hotel is on a higher level overall. The renovation here also felt uneven, with some areas more dated than I like, although the room was well maintained and had classic period décor. I picked this hotel to watch the Carnival opening regatta on the Grand Canal. It’s close to Rialto without being right at it, and the area is less crowded. You can see the regatta from the hotel, but the pier was closed for safety, limiting the view and photos. Late-morning shadows were another issue. For an event like this, the opposite side of the canal gives a better vantage point. The Orange Line Alilaguna from the airport stops right in front. Reception was very kind and upgraded me to a junior suite.
