Venice Near San Marco 7 pax WiFi 2 Bedroom

A really nice hostel, and I'd recommend it for a Venice trip. The staff were polite and friendly, gave me a map, and talked me through the different sights. There's a kitchen, and the room was well kept. The bathroom was very clean and had enough facilities.

The hostel itself was pretty run down, but the location was perfect and it gave me a decent place to sleep for a reasonable price. Bring bug spray at night if you're concerned about bites. There were still a few bloodsuckers around before the weather got really cold. What made my stay amazing was the service. They shared a map and insider tips for saving money and enjoying Venice, including how to book through galaxy hostels for the cheapest rates and get a 24hr ferry pass for 20euros. With that pass I rode the whole Grand Canal, visited both of the must-see islands away from Venice, and traveled to and from the train station and bus terminal. They even pointed me to groceries and cheap, fresh, delicious pizza. I highly recommend staying here.

We came to see the biennale, and before arriving we were a bit nervous about the scorpions mentioned in another comment. Once we saw this wasn't the Sahara, we relaxed, and we didn't see a single one. The hostel is very clean, the staff are lovely, and the price is reasonable. It's just outside the tourist zone, close to the Giardini and Arsenal of the Biennale, as well as San Marco. We only found one bathroom, though we didn't check the other floors, and the kitchen is quite small. The bathroom wasn't much of a problem, and for the price a small kitchen was better than we expected. There was a rooftop terrace, and the staff were so kind that they moved us from a six-person room to a room for two, thinking we'd prefer it. With those touches, we had a great experience. Air-conditioning would be a welcome addition. I'd definitely recommend it as a budget stay for visiting Venice.

The rooftop view is fantastic, and the staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful. Our rooms were clean, with comfortable beds, and the shared spaces were roomy and pleasant. The kitchen is small but gets the job done. It's a great deal, just five minutes from the Grand Canal and ten from San Marcos Plaza. There are some stairs, but the proprietor was happy to carry our bags.
