Venice Rainbow Rialto Hotel

The price looked attractive, but I found extra charges for basic things: €10 for bed linen and another €10 for towels. Late check-in was €60, cash only. Since there was no proof of payment, I believed it was off the books and there would be no way to get a refund. When I refused to pay, the owner threatened me and said I wouldn’t be allowed in on check-in day. I found the whole thing dishonest and stressful. By the end, you’ll pay as much as you would elsewhere, so avoid this place.

The room was in a good location, but it wasn’t very clean. There was no shampoo, slippers, or anything else, and the WC and bathroom were shared.

I was quite disappointed and expected more. On arrival they charged another 10euro for towels and loans, and cards weren’t accepted. The apartment was cold enough to wake me up all night. The room was big, but its interior looked more like a cheap Turkish hotel. The shared bathroom had no shower holder, and its door wouldn’t open fully. The keys were too large to carry around, and the bed was really uncomfortable, with what seemed like the cheapest pillows. One night was enough for me, and I wouldn’t come back. The host was kinda nice, which gets a star, and the location gets another. It wasn’t perfect, but good enough.

We felt safe here, and it would suit a couple or two female friends. The staff were really nice, and our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It’s a three-minute walk to the center and another three minutes to the Coop supermarket, with lots of restaurants nearby. Strongly recommend for girls.
