Even if you don't need anything, it's worth stopping in. The supermarket is inside a former theater, and the frescoes on the walls and ceiling have been so well preserved. There are everyday groceries, souvenirs, prepared food, and wine for a picnic by the canal. They sell famous Burano cookies too, at the best price!

It felt more like sightseeing than grocery shopping in this wonderfully restored old theater, with its striking architecture and frescoed ceilings. The supermarket has a good range of essentials, snacks, and drinks, though prices are a bit higher than usual. My younger one put it on his list of top 20 things to do in a Venice, and it was worth visiting, especially with kids. Even without needing anything, it's worth a quick stop.

The selection was impressive, and prices were very reasonable. There's a huge plant-based section with vegan options across the aisle from the fresh bread, all inside a gorgeous building.

An amazing building with a big range of products. Such a distinctive grocery store, and a great example of adaptive reuse.

We hadn't heard anything about this store being housed in an old theater. We were just walking around, decided to go in, and got a completely unexpected surprise. Super cool, definitely a must-see! We also found the pasta our Italian guide had recommended, which was a bonus.
