A bookstore that really focuses on books, which feels surprising these days when shops often sell everything else too. They know their stuff, are creative and competent, and I think it’s because they truly love books. Maybe special pens too, but mostly books.

There’s a pleasant atmosphere, and the owner is both kind and knowledgeable, with good reading suggestions. Walk in and you’re surrounded by books, with something for every taste.

This has become my little refuge. With the talented, kind owners Laura and Claudio, I look for intimate reads and new releases, and order books I’ve come across in magazines and on book sites. I’m grateful for how quickly they secure reservations for me, and for their patience when I share my thoughts. My rating: EXCELLENT.

The bookstore is well stocked with classics and new releases, and its location is a plus: midway between the university and the libraries, and close to the Basilica it’s named after, which gives the place extra charm. What makes it special is the staff’s professionalism, knowledge, courtesy, and love of books. Customers are served by people deeply involved in culture who really know what they’re selling. You can see that same cultural commitment in the small author meetings and discussions they hold here, in a cultural setting that isn’t an easy one. Top marks!
