The apartment was nice and very clean, with a pleasant kitchen for making meals. The bathroom was outside the room, but it was private and quiet. It was also well located, close to both the train station and the amphitheater. Getting there was tricky, though: it was on the third floor, and there weren't enough directions inside the building. We had told them we'd arrive between 2 and 3 p.m., but after a long trip we still had to wait until 5 p.m. for our room. That was exhausting.

The rooms were clean, and the location was handy for the arena and old town, with the train station about a 10-minute walk away. Finding the entrance was a real challenge. Go in through the first doorway on via don Carlo street, and you'll need a phone call to be let inside. The hotel is on level three. It's a budget place, with no hot water in the bathroom and a very basic breakfast of packaged croissants and questionable coffee.

We had a great stay and I'd recommend it, especially for couples looking for a mid-range option in Verona. The room was big and clean, breakfast was okay, and Wi-Fi was free. The center is nearby, and the Arena of Verona is a 5- to 10-minute walk away.

The staff were kind, and they accommodated my fairly late check-in. The place was clean and everything was in order. It was about a 10-minute walk to both the train station and the city center. I did feel the price was a little high.

The kitchen for breakfast with the other guests is tiny, and the walls are so thin you hear everything. The mattress felt like it was crawling, and looked about 20 years old. Sure, it's cheap, so you get what you pay for, but I wouldn't trust the 8.2 on booking. com. I'd give it a 5 at best.
