Relais Empire

This is our new go-to in Verona. The rooms were quiet and felt very secure, and there was plenty of space, two balconies, and a large shower. Breakfast was excellent, with gluten-free and lactose-free options. You enter through carriage doors, then a side door to a stairwell. Reception is on the first floor, the European one, which is the US second floor, and there's also an elevator. It's an easy roughly 12-minute walk from the train station and a very easy walk to the Arena and shopping areas.

Finding a hotel that really welcomes dogs can be tricky, but this one absolutely did. Our room was clean and comfortable, with nice decorations. We had a great stay in Verona and would gladly come back. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling with a dog.

We’re already talking about coming back. This hotel suited us perfectly for a romantic break, and Juliet’s balcony isn’t just for younger couples! The location made getting around easy: under a 10-minute walk to the amphitheatre and about 15 minutes to the train station, with plenty of decent cafés and restaurants nearby. Our room had lots of facilities and attractive neoclassical decor. Breakfast had a great continental spread, though the cooked choices were limited. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout.

My wife gave me this stay as a gift, and what a lovely surprise it was. Grand Relais Empire was beautifully designed, elegant, clean, and comfortable, with a great location close to everything in Verona. The staff were helpful and friendly. I’d happily stay here again, and highly recommend it.
